Semax is a peptide best known for its neuroprotective and neurogenic/neurorestorative properties. It was developed based on the molecular structure of adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH). Semax was developed in Russia by the Institute of Molecular Genetics at the Russian Academy of Sciences. It was initially designed as a treatment for various neurological and psychiatric conditions.
